THEY LEFT ME…
I guess they forgot that they had so much fun riding me, whizzing around the cones and barrels…..
BECAUSE THEY LEFT ME
I guess they forgot I always kept them safe when riding me….
BECAUSE THEY LEFT ME
I guess they forgot I always greeted them with a nicker and whinny….
BECAUSE THEY LEFT ME
I guess they forgot that I gave them my heart and soul, while asking nothing in return…
BECAUSE THEY LEFT ME
They left me …they abandoned me … they never looked back… Who was going to feed me, who would do my feet, where is my stall? They were all I had and they just left me. I did not know the answers to my questions, I did not know what I was going to do, I wasn’t even sure where I was.
A lady saw me, she must have known I wasn’t where I was supposed to be, she wasn’t my people, they left me.. but she knew I was in trouble. She spent so much time trying to catch me and my friends, (they left them too) we did not make it easy on her, but she never gave up.
She brought us to a shelter so they could find our parents. I stayed there a while, it wasn’t home but I had a stall, food and kind people to take care of me. I heard them say they were trying to find my parents but I didn’t know how to tell them, THEY LEFT ME.
One day I heard them say, “They are coming to get her.” I was confused and scared because I knew I was not LOST… I was LEFT. When the trailer pulled up it wasn’t my trailer… but like the dutiful horse I am I put my faith in humans and loaded up.
This time my faith was not wasted. I am well cared for, I have people all around to tend to my needs, I even think they really like me.
There are many things I will remember throughout my life, there are still reasons to be thankful and I will forever be grateful to the nice lady who saved me. Thank you Andrea Sisson, you didn’t leave me.
In the summer of 2011, Sally was able to come to the facility in Loxahatchee to begin her retraining and hope for a forever home. This past Sunday Sally found her forever home and her girl.. a young lady named Sydney who had taken lessons at Pure Thoughts prior was getting a horse for her 15th birthday and Sally is that horse. What a happy ending to a bad situation and a great beginning for Sally and Sydney.

Even though Tiffany is only three years old she is very smart and eager.. Confidant on a trail like she has been doing it all her life. This week Tiffany got her forever home with a wonderful family. She has made a lucky girl very happy and this little girl now has a family to call her very own..
